Niveau r’n’b, Albion n’est pas si perfide. Depuis quelques années, émergent ainsi de talentueux vocalistes, qui rivalisent d’ingéniosité pour nous coller leurs mélodies suaves dans les oreilles. Royce Wood Junior est de ceux-là. Le chanteur originaire de Brighton a longtemps poli dans l’ombre les pépites des autres, officiant à la production des albums de ses compatriotes Jamie Woon ou encore Kwabs avant de se lancer en solo. En 2015, il sort coup sur coup le EP “Tonight Matthew” et son premier album “The Ashen Tang”, doté de morceaux tout aussi imparables que mélancoliques aux émanations d’electronica vaporeuse.

Following the announcement of his upcoming 12-track debut LP The Ashen Tang, set for release on June 8th 2015 via 37 Adventures, London’s Royce Wood Junior reveals the second single to be taken from this stunning, future classic record.
‘Clanky Love’ is the perfect sequel to first single ‘Midnight’, taking the moonlit soul and burgeoning hope of its predecessor and spinning it into a modern love jam. “At the dark end of the lullaby there’s a garden and a waterslide”, Royce promises over rousing piano stabs and a delicious cacophony of fuzz-laden guitars and clattering percussion, that magnetic voice perfectly meshing with the skewed, multi-layered production that he is known for. Remixes are set to come from Jamie Lidell, Salute and Compton White.
