Pillow Queens est un groupe de rock indépendant basé à Dublin, composé de Pamela Connolly, Sarah Corcoran, Cathy McGuinness et Rachel Lyons. Le groupe vient de donner deux concerts à guichets fermés à Vicar Street, suite à une tournée couronnée de succès pour leur deuxième album « Leave the Light On », et a joué devant des foules à travers l’Amérique du Nord et l’Europe au cours d’une année 2022 chargée mais fructueuse. Leur deuxième EP, State of the State, s’est retrouvé sur les playlists de BBC 6 Music, Steve Lamacq les qualifiant de « faussement contagieux, avec des crochets et des ongles aiguisés ». Le premier single, Favourite, a bénéficié d’un soutien important sur les ondes britanniques, notamment sur BBC RADIO 1, BBC Introducing, RADIO X et Amazing Radio. Après deux autres tournées au Royaume-Uni et deux concerts à guichets fermés dans leur ville natale, le groupe s’est rapidement trouvé de plus en plus à l’aise sur des scènes plus importantes, ouvrant pour des groupes comme American Football et Pussy Riot, et clôturant l’été 2018 avec une performance dans un stade en ouverture de Idles & Future Islands.

Pillow Queens are a 4-piece indie rock band based in Dublin comprising Pamela Connolly, Sarah Corcoran, Cathy McGuinness, and Rachel Lyons. The band have recently just played two sold out Vicar Street shows off the back of a successful campaign for their sophomore album ‘Leave the Light On’ and have played to crowds across North America and Europe over what has been a busy yet fruitful 2022. Their second EP State of the State made its way onto BBC 6 Music’s playlists, with Steve Lamacq calling them “deceptively infectious, with sharp hooks and sharp nails”. The lead single Favourite picked up lots of great support on the UK’s national airwaves, including plays on BBC RADIO 1, BBC Introducing, RADIO X & Amazing Radio. After two more UK tours, and two sellout hometown gigs, the band soon found themselves more and more comfortable on bigger stages, opening for the likes of American Football and Pussy Riot, capping off Summer 2018 with a stadium performance opening for Idles & Future Islands.
