Mazey Haze
Mazey Haze est le nom de l’autrice-compositrice Nadine Appeldoorn. Elle puise son
inspiration d’artistes comme ABBA, The Beach Boys, The Mama’s and the Papa’s, Françoise Hardy,
Margo Guryan ou encore Armando Trovajoli. Ses chansons naissent dans sa chambre, où elle se sent le plus en sécurité ;où ses sentiments, son intuition et ses sons peuvent circuler librement.
Elle atténue les textures plus éthérées et synthétiques avec lesquelles elle a commencé à travailler. Les sons organiques et acoustiques, son amour du cinéma français de la Nouvelle Vague, des musiques de films italiens et du psych des années 60 rock des années 60, alimentent la veine de nostalgie qui traverse ses chansons et renvoie à un monde lointain et inconscient.
Tout ce qu’elle fait, c’est essayer de garder l’authenticité et la vulnérabilité comme base consciente de tout ce qu’elle crée. Mazey Haze apprend toujours, et nous apprendrons avec elle.

Her songs start in her bedroom where she feels the safest;where her feelings, intuition and sound can flow freely.She’s toning down the more ethereal, synthetic textures she started with and instead rooting herself tothe earth. Organic, acoustic sounds, her love of French New Wave cinema, Italian film scores and 60spsych-rock inform the vein of nostalgia that runs through her songs, finding its way back to a distant,subconscious world.All she does is trying to keep authenticity and vulnerability as the conscious foundation for anythingshe creates.
