Ayant échangé sa Norvège natale contre l’Australie sur un coup de tête, l’artiste a obtenu le surnom d’« Anna Of The North». Depuis, elle a connu un éveil créatif et est retournée chez elle avec un nouveau sentiment d’intérêt. Depuis 2014, elle est discrètement apparue comme un phénomène pop alternatif. Elle a captivé les auditeurs avec deux albums acclamés par la critique : Lovers [2017] et Dream Girl [2019]. La chanson-titre de ce dernier, « Dream Girl », a été interprétée par la campagne mondiale d’iPad Pro d’Apple « Float », qui lui a valu un Grammy norvégien. Le rappeur américain Tyler, The Creator l’a recrutée pour participer à sa chanson « Boredom », certifiée platine. En 2017, Anna a également prêté sa voix à « 911 / Mr. Lonely » [feat. Frank Ocean & Steve Lacy] de son album Flower Boy, nominé aux GRAMMY Awards. Dua Lipa l’a invitée à joindre ses forces pour le titre « IDGAF (Anna of the North Remix) ». Au-delà des éloges de Variety, The FADER ou encore Billboard, la voix d’Anna figure sur les chansons de la bande originale du film Rosaline (2022). Aujourd’hui, elle s’ouvre plus que jamais sur son troisième album complet, Crazy Life [Elektra Records], qui sortira en novembre 2022.

Trading her native Norway for Australia on a whim, she gained the nickname “Anna Of The North,” underwent a creative awakening, and returned home with a renewed sense of purpose. Dua Lipa invited her to join forces for the “IDGAF (Anna of the North Remix),” and G-Eazy enlisted her for “Pick Me Up” from his platinum-certified epic The Beautiful & The Damned. Beyond praise from Variety, The FADER, Billboard, NME, and UPROXX, her voice powered songs from HULU’s Rosaline Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Drum & Lace and Ian Hultquist.
