Une affaire DIY depuis le début, le groupe Vacations s’est formé en 2016 principalement comme un véhicule de composition pour Campbell Burns, Burns ajoutant plus tard les membres du groupe Jake Johnson, Nate Delizzotti et Joseph Van Lier. Leur chanson « Young » est certifiée Or au Canada, en Australie et en Pologne, et est certifiée Platine aux États-Unis, et leur single « Telephones » est également certifié Platine aux États-Unis depuis décembre 2023. Le groupe a accumulé plus de 1,5 milliard de streams dans le monde, une moyenne de 65 millions de streams par mois, dont plus de 750 millions de streams au cours de la dernière année et plus de 2,5 millions de Shazams. Non seulement un groupe de streaming, le groupe est devenu connu pour ses concerts live enflammés, doublant les capacités des salles de 500 à plus de 2 000 en moins de deux ans. Ils ont vendu tous les billets de leurs deux tournées américaines en tête d’affiche depuis 2022 et leur première tournée au Royaume-Uni, suivis par une autre série de dates à guichets fermés avec leur immense tournée nord-américaine en co-tête d’affiche avec Last Dinosaurs qui comprenait des spectacles à Webster Hall et The Novo, et ont joué au Austin City Limits, au All Things Go Festival, au Great Escape, à All Points East et au Sounds Project en Indonésie. A DIY affair from the get-go, the band Vacations formed in 2016 primarily as a songwriting vehicle for Campbell Burns, Burns later adding band members Jake Johnson, Nate Delizzotti, and Joseph Van Lier. Their song “Young” is certified Gold in Canada, Australia, and Poland, and is certified Platinum in the U.S., and their single “Telephones” is also certified Platinum in the US as of December 2023. The band has racked up over 1.5 billion streams worldwide, an average of 65 million streams/month, including over 750 million streams within the last year and over 2.5m Shazam’s. Not just a streaming band, the group has become known for their raucous live shows, doubling venues from 500 capacity to 2,000+ in under two years. They sold out both of their headline US tours since 2022 and their first ever UK run, followed by yet another sold out set of dates with their massive North American fall co-headline tour with Last Dinosaurs that included shows at Webster Hall and The Novo, and have performed at Austin City Limits, All Things Go Festival, The Great Escape, All Points East, and The Sounds Project in Indonesia. They kick off 2024 with performances at Laneway Festival in Australia in February and Treefort Festival in March.
