Aquilo
Le duo anglais Aquilo, composé de Tom Higham et Ben Fletcher, se fait remarquer pour la première fois en 2014, avec un EP indépendant qui lui a valu le soutien de Radio 1 et un premier concert à Glastonbury. Il a ensuite sorti les albums « Silhouettes » (2017) et « ii » (2018), en collaboration avec des artistes tels que Ólafur Arnalds, SOHN, Johnny McDaid et Lexx.
Le duo a également participé au morceau Innocence de Madeon, tiré de son premier album « Adventure », et fait équipe avec le producteur canadien Vanic pour Losing You. Aquilo a par ailleurs été remixé par des artistes comme Mura Masa et Marian Hill. En 2020, le duo propose l’EP « Sober », qui présente la courte histoire d’une rupture.
Fort de 490 millions de streams sur ses morceaux, Aquilo franchira une nouvelle étape avec la sortie de l’album « A Safe Place To Be » le 15 octobre 2021. Ce nouveau projet a été annoncé en juillet dernier par la sortie du morceau Our Bones Turn To Stone, composé à la suite d’un retour dans le village natal du duo, Silverdale.

The English duo Aquilo (Tom Higham and Ben Fletcher) first came to attention with their independently released debut EP in 2014. That resulted in support at Radio 1 as well as their first Glastonbury set. They subsequently released the albums ‘Silhouettes’ (2017) and ‘ii’ (2018) with production credits from the likes of Ólafur Arnalds, SOHN, Johnny McDaid and Lexx.
The pair also featured on Madeon’s track Innocence, from his debut album ‘Adventure’, and teamed up with Canadian producer Vanic for Losing You. Aquilo have also been remixed by the likes of Mura Masa and Marian Hill. In 2020, the duo offered the EP « Sober », which introduces the short tale of a break-up.
With 490 million streams on its tracks, Aquilo will take a new step with the release of the album ‘A Safe Place To Be’ on October 15, 2021. This new project was announced last July with the release of the song Our Bones Turn To Stone, composed after a stay in their native village, Silverdale.
